Growing up in Asia, Kenneth had always had a keen interest in beauty. He initially studied art and fashion at degree level and from making up the models he was dressing in his designs, soon realised he had a natural flair for, and desire to do make-up.
He moved to London in 1997 where he started fusing his Asian aesthetics with European influences and a style that combined the best of both cultures soon started attracting the attention of magazines, editors, celebrities and private clients. He spent the next few years working in Fashion Week teams under makeup masters such as Val Garland, Pat McGrath and Lucia Pieroni where he honed his skills even more.
Based in London but rarely in one place, he travels internationally for shoots and red carpet events for a growing list of celebrities such as Naomie Harris, Olga Kurylenko, Jenna Coleman and Alexandra Roach to name a few.
Editorially and for advertising campaigns, he has worked with many reputable photographers such as Rankin, Liz Collins & Emma Tempest creating beauty and fashion shoots for publications like Marie Claire, Stella & Glamour and campaigns for clients such as Monsoon, Roc, Pandora, Garnier & Amanda Wakeley.
With an insatiable curiosity for products Kenneth documents these experiences on his blog www.musingsofamakeupartist.com sharing insider snapshots of the products he uses, influences and every aspect of what it is like to be a top level makeup artist.
Having such a global appreciation of beauty, commercially Kenneth is in great demand from beauty brands, consulting and advising trends and beauty forecasts.
